Distortion based on wave shaping
🔊 Krach (noise) maker.Overdrive with wave shaping, bias and frown-smile tone controls. It can simulate various types of distortion effect like broken amps, octaving, synth effects. It is not build to emulate any known famous pedal but to create your own sound. Use presets if you need various drive types (drive does not control tone in this version)The second output is just for measuring purposes to understand the signal that is going into the waveshaper after pre boost.Pre boost is a midrange boost (frown part ☹️).The post boosting is a 3 way equalizer where you can push the low mid and high frequencies (smile part ☺️)Bias adds a DC to the signal to obtain asymmetric distortions.
| name | default | minimum | maximum | description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pre Gain | 0 db | -12 db | 48 db | First gain stage, without colorizing the signal |
| Boost | 15 db | 0 db | 48 db | Second gain stage, this control emphasizes the boosters mid/high frequency |
| Pre Boost F | 1200 Hz | 400 Hz | 2000 Hz | boosters center frequency which will be boosted |
| Pre Boost Q | 0.1 | 0.02 | 0.5 | The Q factor can widen or narrow the boosted frequency range. small values lead to a large range, large value will emphasize a more narrow band. |
| Vol | 0 db | -96 db | 48 db | The output volume, turn down to optimize your chain levels |
| Bias | 0 | -1 | 1 | add a direct current to the signal. Causes asymmetric handling of the signal |
| Mix | 100 | -100 | 100 | mix with the original input signal |
| Tone | 0 | 0 | 100 | Slight tone shaping. Attenuates a bit the mid frequencies |
